Will I Need A Passport ?
Beginning Jan. 1, 2007 all U.S. citizens will no longer be able to cruise the Caribbean and then re-enter the United States with only a driver's license or voter's registration card as identification. A passport will be required.

How Much Luggage Can I Bring? What Type?
Soft sided luggage only (most roll on luggage is not soft sided) that can be stored in your stateroom. Whatever you bring in the way of clothes will undoubtedly be too much. Our repeat guests always pack much lighter the second time around!

What About Sun Tan Oils ?
You should come well stocked. The lotions which contain PABA stains decks and so do oils. Please try to bring PABA free lotion only. No oil is allowed on any yacht for safety reasons.

Is There Ferry Service?
Travel between the Virgin Islands is simple and convenient. According to your flight destination and vessel location you may need to use a ferry. There are flights into both St. Thomas and Tortola and your vessel will be in one of those two locations. Many clients from the States can get better rates into St. Thomas and than take a 45 minute ferry ride to Tortola. Check out Ferry Service schedules always call to verify schedule.

Tell Me About Special Medicine?
Special medicine should be brought with you. The yacht will carry a basic medical kit.

Will I Get Sea Sickness?
The many islands that make up the Virgin Islands provide you with ideal sailing winds without rough seas. If you are susceptible to motion sickness we recommend you bring over the counter medication - but don't expect you will need it after the first day.

What Types of Shoes Should I Bring?
Suggest you bring along sandals, sneakers and maybe reef shoes. If you prefer to wear shoes on deck then out of respect for the owner of the vessel lets just wear deck shoes that have not been used to walk anywhere but a boat and are different from the ones you wear ashore.

What About Cameras?
Bring plenty of film for your camera and maybe some spare batteries as well. Many guests bring their own video cameras and it's fun watching the footage at the end of the day!

What About Smoking?
Fire hazard dictates that we strictly adhere to a rule of no smoking below deck. This is common among most yachts. After all it makes sense. Everyone is entitled to at least one vice and if yours is smoking, then we simply ask that you do so on the deck

What Is The Weather?
1000 miles from the equator the Virgin Islands enjoys a balmy sub-tropical climate, plied by constant trade winds. In the winter while the US Mainland and much of Europe is locked in the icy grip of winter the Virgin Islands enjoys fresh trade winds and abundant sunshine. Daytime temperatures average 80 - 85F dropping to 75 - 80F at night. Winds average 10 - 20 knots providing exciting sailing conditions and cool night ventilation. Short localized rain showers may pass over us but these rarely last for more than 30 minutes. Xmas and New Year are the busiest weeks of the season and the Virgin Islands high season is January - April.

Will it be crowded?
You will be the only passengers aboard this affordable private charter cruising. You will be sailing the beautiful Virgin Islands on your Agenda.

Do I have to start on any particular day of the week?
For your convenience, you can start any day of the week (apart from 25 Dec and 1 Jan)

What Are My Travel Options?
St. Thomas (America’s Paradise) If your charter is out of Tortola you will need to take the appropriate ferry. If you have to overnight in St. Thomas before taking the ferry to Tortola may I suggest the Holiday Inn directly across from the ferry dock. Their phone number is 340-774-5200. St. Thomas is a shopping zoo, so watch your credit cards

To Tortola Via San Juan This is the most popular route to BVI. The short hop from San Juan to Tortola (Beef Island Airport) is the busiest: Your "Puddle Jumper" choices are (Travel Agents don’t always know all these!)

What do we eat?
Provisioning is available with different plans. Simple fill out your provisioning form before your charter and the provisioning will be purchased and the boat stocked before you arrive for minimum hassle. Most overnight mooring destinations have great restaurants and bars on the islands if you don't want to cook aboard each night. Click here for more information about provisioning.
